Day 11 - Vancouver on our Own

We decided to spend our last day of the tour exploring Vancouver on our own. We caught the Sea Bus to North Vancouver.

The view from inside.

The view back at Vancouver was pretty cool.

There was sea plane activity.

We arrived in North Vancouver and were greeted at Waterfront Park.

An art piece in the park.

There was a shipyard nearby.

And a Japanese garden.

We hung out for a while at a local market, joining the others in looking back at Vancouver.

After a while we took the ferry back. Vancouver really is a beautiful city.

When we got back to Vancouver we walked down to the Gastown district. We saw the statue to "Gassy Jack" the founding father of Gastown.

There are lots of shops and restaurants in Gastown.

Vancouver has some interesting architecture.

This tower with revolving restaurant once served as the Olympic torch.

We had lunch and caught a cab to a bronze sculpture we glimpsed earlier from the tour bus. It's called "A-Maze-Ing Laughter" by Yue Minjun of China.

After grabbing a Starbucks we walked down to English Bay Beach.

An Inukshuk statue near the beach.

Another piece in Vanier Park.

Tomorrow we fly back to Boston on Day 12. Or return to Main Menu.
